The recent heatwave that swept through western Europe has resulted in shattered national records for June temperatures.
In the UK, a provisional peak temperature of 37.7C was recorded, surpassing previous records by a significant margin.
Germany also experienced a historic moment, hitting an all-time high temperature of 41.7C.
